Stenobarichneumon Heinrich, 1961
Stenobarichneumon is a moderate-sized genus closely related to, if not derived within, Barichneumon. As such, Stenobarichneumon shares nearly all diagnostic characters with Barichneumon except for the much wider thyridia, which is the chief difference between the two. However, most Stenobarichneumon can be distinguished from Barichneumon by the white lateral markings on the head which Barichneumon lacks.
Diagnosis
- postpetiole densely, coarsely punctate
- thyridia wide (wider than interthyridial width)
- anterior margin of propodeum with median tubercle
- female metasomal apex oxypygous
