Dirophanes Förster, 1869


There are at least five undescribed Dirophanes species in North America.


Diagnosis

  • ventral margin of clypeus "roughened"
  • hind coxa of females with large tooth formed by two carinae
  • gastrocoelus and thyridium wide (wider than interthyridial width)
  • hind tarsi of males usually banded
